Question about the choppy effect in this Church song

Is this choppy sound in the intro of this Church song just something any tremolo pedal with a choppy mode can do or is it a combination of things (besides reverb, of course)? Was wondering if this is something that a Tuna Melt or Pulsar could do. And yes, the song's lyrical content is kinda cheesy, but that's beside the point.

I think it's an unaffected dry signal (relatively) split with a choppy tremolo on a 100% wet reverb. the tremolo itself sounds like a something you could get with most any tremolo pedal. also it sounds to me like it's a bass and someone's pushing the fader up on it each time.

Gig FX Chopper will get you there. It's a trem and chopper with a treadle. Really good pedal.

Just took a look at it. (Gig FX Chopper). It looks nice, but it's a little more than what I was wanting to spend. I think I'm going to look for a used XO Pulsar.
