GFS Slick Straps Review

Well I got a new guitar the other day and needed a new strap. For my last guitar I bought a Couch strap and have been very happy with it. It's comfortable and can be adjusted to be very long. I'm 6'4".
Anyway, I was looking at the Guitar Fetish straps and since the price was good and I had to order a few parts from them anyway, I thought I'd try one of their Slick Straps. I opted for a black body with a teal tail. Don't know why. That's just what I chose because I had to choose something. Here it is on my guitar:

Well, it is real leather and has a real "homemade/handmade" look and feel to it. It seems ok. When I unpacked it and put it on my guitar all kinds of little leather fibers found a home between my fingers and here I am an hour later typing this with a little bit of these fibers still bugging me between my fingers. Maybe I need to clean it off really well with some pledge and a rag.
The width of it does make it pretty comfortable on the shoulder BUT the raw leather on the underside (the side in contact with you) was really grabbing my t-shirt. If I tried to do a little adjustment my shirt just went with it. Kind of annoying but if you want a strap to grip you, this one will. It probably would have been a good strap for a Jackson Randy Rhoads I had years ago. I like the guitar but it was really headstock heavy and I had to hold the guitar up to play it. The other thing was I thought I remembered reading that the Slick Straps were supposed to be long. Yep! Here's a quote from the site, "extra long for those that like the guitar at “Keef knee level." As you can see in the picture, it's on the last holes. Well, there's no way this is anywhere near my knees. The middle of the guitar body is on my belt buckle which is comfortable for me as I don't play it at my knees but if it was one slot less, the strap would have been too short for me to use.
I can't speak on how long this strap may last but it's kind of thin but it should last a while. It doesn't seem like super cheap leather like some of those belts with studs all over them are made of that fall apart in a week. It's like the leather I used to buy (only thinner) from Tandy Leather when I made myself straps decades ago. Finished on one side and very raw on the other. I don't know if I'd buy another one as I think I like my Couch strap better but if it last a while and the back of the leather stops grabbing my shirt over time, I might get another one.
My main complaint/issue with it is it isn't very long and the back is really rough and grabs my shirt really hard. My neck is a little raw from the edge of the strap also. What I like about it is it was relatively cheap, kind of cool looking/different and it's width makes it comfortable on the shoulder (but a little rough on my neck).
