Just getting that out there. Considered building one at Warmoth since it's impossible to find a Burgundy Mist Jag, but still too pricey for me.

That said I'd probably look like a twat with one so maybe it's not a bad thing.

But nonetheless, post your Burgundy mist guitars.

Totally agreed.

As always, Wildwood has like three dozen Burgundy Mist Jags in stock. On a related note, right now we're building a Moollon J-Classic for guitarist Michael Severson with a matching headstock, and with the ebony neck and matching headstock it's an absolutely lovely thing to behold.

First time I've really wished I could afford an AVRI over a CIJ or Classic Player :(

CAR would be pretty delicious too with a pearloid guard, but something's special about the Mist.

That's beautiful. What are those pickups by the way, how do they sound? I've been looking at only single coils in a Jag recently but I know there are some humbuckers that can have a lot of character in one too.

Let me know anyone if you're selling your Jap Burgundy Mist Jags for a decent price :P Esp. if they have mods and stuff.

The pickups are Jb Jr and a Lil' 59. They sound pretty good. When i got the guitar it was routed for full sized humbuckers.
Has 2 big paint chips on the lower edge but not in the wood. May be interested in selling.

It's definitely a hard color to pull off looking cool though, despite being so pretty

I like it on Jags and Jazzies, saying that it is a fact that i like to "ugly" my guitars up a bit. I see a 70s style plain varnished Jag or Jazzy in my future at some pont.

The guy I bought it from had pics of it with a different guard on it. I'll prob go for this combo:

May be interested in buying. If I got one like that I may swap out for regular Jag single coils in the bridge eventually, would one fit in there wtih the teeth? if not I'd have to try and get my dad to have a go at the pickguard, or maybe try some of those noiseless Strat pickups from GFS since there's not much difference. Does the low cut switch make them a bit more single-coil like? Mini-humbuckers tend to sound more SC like and a bit cooler to me, possibly because of the smaller magnets. I wonder if a coil tap would work well on them.
