Actually picked this up the other day. I've had a Jazzmaster shaped hole in my heart since passing on my Old one to a mate. This week I decided to right that wrong and started trawling for one. It was a bit more than I've ever paid for a RI offset but it does play really well. I'm looking forward to upgrading the electrics etc. I dare say the buzz stop will come off, I've never needed one before. Might go for a minty guard too .

The missus was not happy with the addittion:

Then she realised it matched her outfit!:

This is a "lady holding a guitar" situation done properly.

Nice guitar. Always liked CAR on Jags and Jazzies, absolutely has to have the matching headstock too.

I never thought a buzz stop would be necessary on a Jazzmaster?

Yeah the setup needs sorted. The guy had the bridge post taped and the Buzz stop on there. Lazy setup. It'll be sorted out as soon as I have the time.

Couldn't resist the lady holding guitar shot after seeng the thread the other day.

You can tell if a girl's attractive by looking at her next to a Jazzmaster. If the Jazzmaster dwarfs her, hot. If not, fat.

never tell a woman you're planning to have her for dinner. they hate that.

It definitely makes the guitar less "ringy" and more "solid" feeling. Depends what you want out of it- the Buzzstop works great for me personally.

Note to self: never include lovelife in gear post.

hahah. Well I've never tried a buzzstop so maybe I'll keep it for the first set of strings to see how it goes. Does the bridge still float in the centre even with the greater string break angle?

*insert remark about G-string here*

I bought same exact one as that, for like $550 for a SS member from CL.

I taped the posts of my bridge, but I'd think so.
