Ok, I have a Tech 21 Tri OD, like this: www.tech21nyc.com/support/manuals/sansamp/TRIOD-OM.pdf
It looks like this inside: http://yustech.blogspot.com/2011/07/tech-21-tri-od.html
I got it used over a year ago. Besides some scratchy pots, it's always worked fine. Lately though, the sound has been fading out about 30 seconds after you plug in to use it. It's like someone is turning the volume knob down. When you unplug the battery and plug it back in it will work again for about 30 seconds. I took it apart today and sprayed all the pots, and replaced the worst one (volume) with a new one. It sounds better than ever, but it's still fading out. I would try using an AC adapter, but it takes a 12 volt reversed polarity one that I don't have.
I love this pedal, and I would really like to fix it. Anyone have any suggestions?

I am an idiot. I changed the battery with another one the other day, testing it using the tongue method, and it seemed fine. I just busted out a real battery tester, and they both register as dead.
PROBLEM SOLVED. I DUMB.
