Evenin',

So I have one of those Dearmond re-issue Guild Jet-Star basses - Y'know, set neck, kinda Jazz Bass configuration.

I'm no bass player, but it seems okay. Thoughts? Opinions?

Ta,

Mark

'Tis ugly, I'm afraid, but just like a somewhat ill-gened lass at a party, give me beers and whisky and I'll hit it. Hard. Haven't seen too many of 'em around.

I've always wondered if those basses had the best bass pickups in the world.

Would definitely play, though I'm clueless as how they're supposed to sound.

Reminds me, the wife and I hopped on a time machine and had teh li'l Davy Jones haphazardly thumb an old Guild version (single pickup) of those for me on our last '60s comp tune. Heaven knows how he got the tones, by the looks of it he might as well have been plucking a chicken.
