What an ugly guitar.

I never noticed that the 12 string headstocks were closed at the back... must be pretty hard to string the horizontal tuners (the ones like on a classic guitar) with the back of the headstock closed up?

Pretty sure Tom Petty's custom isn't, and a few others.

I don't like the finish but I like that body style. It's like a guitar version of the 4003 bass.

Who builds a custom one of a kind guitar like that and does flame for one wing and birdseye for the other?

Then you'd probably like the rickenbacker 481 which is aesthetically closer to the 4003, used by Bob Stinson of the replacements and the guy from Kasabian

Yes! I like that a lot! I like it better than the one in the original post. I would love one of those. I just played a 330 yesterday, it's the first Rickenbacker guitar I've played and I loved it! I will have to own either a 330 or 360 one day. I'd love one of these 481's in fireglo to match my 4003 too!

I think that is a 480. The 481 had humbuckers

The 480 and 483 had single coils

indeed they are! The 4003 has become my favorite bass!
