I found this 1982 T-25 at my local pawn shop today.

I keep wanting one of those. Good find.

is it shortscale like the t15 or full scale like, i think the t60 is?

It's a fullscale like a T-60

i thought the 25 - 27 were 24.75".

Yeah,you are right but Peavey considers 24.75 full-scale.

One cool thing about the T-25 is you can use the 2 tone controls to change the pickups from humbucker to single coil.When the tone is 7 or below you get humbucker sounds,set it high and the pickups turns into a single coils.

Nice find in great shape, somehow Peavey guitars fit into my image of the kind of guitar a typical Pawn Shop would carry.

It also looks incredibly heavy from over here. How's the weight?

Same here, and they seem to be the last decent deal from the 80's as Westone, Westbury etc prices slowly creep up.

The T-series are close to my heart. Sadly, not too many of them pop up on my corner. Good find!

We played with a band called Cool Piano Roll on Saturday and the bassist was using a Peavey T-40. We just drooled over it for their entire set.

how cheap is this?

While I've long lusted after a T60, I had no idea the T27 existed. Plus 27 is my lucky number. If it's anything like the T60s, you're really lucky to find a light one.

Thanks! The guitar I got is a T-25. I paid $199 for it. Actually,I messed up. When I bought it,I thought it was a T-60. I didn't even look at the head stock until I was halfway home,d'oh.

The T-27 is a little different. It has the same body but it has 3 pickups:2 single coils and a humbucker in the bridge.There is also a T-27 Special which has an ebonite fretboard.

Some times you just piss me off red, I've been after a Peavy T series guitar for ages... I write this from a place of pure jealously. Nice find

Fuck, that's even a really nice condition for one of these, most T's I find are battered to hell from years of punk bands.
