New/old guitars, hooraah!

Post by hendrix1234 »

Just finished putting this together.

Its got an american speacial neck, squier deluxe series body, with duncan p-rails(fantastic pickups) and mini switches(on/off for each and 3 way for each rail/hum/p90)

it plays great and i love the prails, i want to get more

Next is a guitar i put together a while back, but sold to a mate and i just traded back for it.
Its a musicmaster body from about 78'/ 75' mustang neck and it has a widerange in the neck.
it was modded when i got it for the strat string through bridge and the widerange, but i found a chrome super distortion on ebay so i put that in.
I was also going to change the bridge back to and original one but it ontonates better and i already have a couple of older musicmaster with singles and original bridges.
The only thing is the widerange is pretty muddy, and i dont want to change to 1 meg pots as it will change the sd to much im guessing?

Are you sure Fender didn't use that Musicmaster/Mustang as inspiration for the Pawnshop series?

Pretty cool though.

heheh yeh its fairly close to the pawnshop stang, and it was already routed for humbuckers fran so i thought id stick with them.

although i do have another black guard thats routed for humbucker in bridge single in the neck, so i can change em out, then i can use the widerange in another guitar in the bridge position, fran i couldnt see from the picture how was yours setup?

im loving the strat, it has so many sounds and plays fantastic ive been playing the crap out of it.
