These are for sale in the Japanese market and will probably never be officially imported to America, even though they're not made in Japan.portugalwillie wrote:are you saying the colors are Japanese colors?
or these guitars are for Japan?

I doubt that's the reason. Student models are really popular in Japan. I don't know how this CV duo model in particular was received, but I'd doubt they'd introduce a whole new line of colors to get rid of some necks.hotrodperlmutter wrote:i imagine just trying to use up those fucking disgusting necks.
Also I don't really follow shortscales but I read these were received pretty favorably in America. I saw one at Best Buy and it was better than the 90's Duo by alot, in terms of feel.

that top photo looks great.
I would just use the old brown shoe polish trick and things would be fine. I really wish we'd get a run of different colors in some classic vibe stuff. Mainly the teles. I wish they did the teles in cool colors like those.

i was just grasping at reasons they would introduce that awful tort in combination with those gorgeous colors, and still use the same anemic necks.jcyphe wrote:I doubt that's the reason. If these were available several years ago I may never have bought my CP Jaguar. All I wanted was to get a little flatter radius fretboard & bigger frets for my musicmaster II-turned duosonic .
I still might try one, and swap the pickups from my old guitar which sounds incredible.
But... why on earth didn''t they tint these necks a little darker????? Does anyone believe that the pale necks look good?
A rosewood board might be nice, as well.
