I was planning to get a nice hollowbody for the late autumn, because I thought I'd be paying a lot more money than I just did today. I picked up this Ibanez in a shop today, played it and there wasn't a price tag on it. When I asked, it was about half of what I expected from playing it, it's so much better than the lower range Epiphone stuff I played to have something to compare. The only flaws are a light rattle from the bridge and the pickup mounting which is the only thing that definitely points to the price point. but hey, it costed like THIS and sounds better than THIS ... hardware is also so much more convioncing than on Epiphones.

good stuff dood. I've never played an Artcore that didn't beat the shit out of the surrounding Epi hollowbodies.

NICE, I dig the Bigsby-esque tremelo too. Ibanez is a funny company, their guitars are either pointy/shredder or Jazzy semi-hollow bodies, not much in between.

Very nice looking! I've only heard good stuff about their Artcore geetars.

Beautiful. I love the Artcores, they're super instruments, especially for the price.

Same with Schecter :P
Hate most of what each company has to offer, but they have a couple gems.

the bass player I play with had a artcore bass and I'm impressed with that and their semi guitars always seem to be good value for money. nice score

yes it took me some time to find out that though they have a weird reputation among the indie guys I'd rather get an Ibanez, because their low and mid priced stuff is so much nicer than the Epiphone stuff. I even tried an older korean high priced Casino with Bigsby that I didn't like. Then I figured that what Ibanez trem-wise does on these is simply working better than a lot of those "licensed" bigsbys. Maybe I'll get me some better pickups (like those GFS filtertron copies) somewhere down the road, but so far that thing does the job. may need some work on the nut though to be a fully gigable guitar.
