Hi guys
so this is the situation
Somebody proposed to trade his 1993 gibson es 135 with my 2005 tele avri (i had put my avri on sale since I was looking for something es 335-175 ish like)
It looks like a straight forward deal, isnt it?
It is difficult to fin some good demos reviews on the web, anybody has one or has owned one?
here are the pics (from when he bought it at elderly)
cheers!

They were a funny mid-priced Gibson, change hands secondhand for about $800, if memory serves. Check some completed listings on eBay to make sure - not sure, financially speaking, you'd come out on top of this one.
I may, however, be completely wrong.

they've been going for 800-1200 on the bay. Humbuckers or P90s?

here is the specs he send me
C+, sunburst finish, double bound 16" maple body, sharp cutaway, f-holes, 3-piece maple neck, rosewood fretboard, dot inlays, 22 frets, 2 P-90 pickups, b-w-b-w-b pickguard, chrome hardware, vintage style tuners with keystone buttons, tune-o-matic bridge, Bigsby tailpiece, black speed knobs, 1-11/16" nut, 24-3/4" scale, with HSC (SN:90683331)
800-1200...So it looks like a very straight forward swap almost up to a 1 USD.. curious how it plays, that will be the main argument then

So it has a Factory Bigsby? If its Factory that probably makes it a custom order? These came with Trapeze tailpieces if I recall correctly. Either way, P90's and a Bigsby in a sunburst finish semi-hollowbody is a win win.
I played one once in a recording studio, it played really nice, like any big bodied Gibson, like a 335, very similar.

iirc these have p100's, not p90's
they are also semi-hollow

These guitars are really great, theres quite a few players on the Jazz circuit I've seen playing these lately. All have sounded very cool.
I haven't played one myself, but I do want one.
