+1. The bridge pickup has 3 coils. Very interesting.benecol wrote:That Marauder, if it's real, while it's not entirely my cup of tea could be about the most interesting thing Fender's done in years.

Somebody whooped on these with an ugly stick and came back and got it in a second time.
That Marauder is hideous. The flow of the horns, pg, and control plate don't work AT ALL. FAIL
The Jaguar might could have been interesting if they moved the controls down on the body and sacked the start jack plate, there is absolutely no need for the Strat jackplate on that guitar.

I don't think the slanted pickup works here, it's not as good looking as on a Strat. The top binding looks great but the slanted pickups doesn't really fit.

I like the Marauder, though I agree it's ugly as sin. The pickups are cramped and the horns are way out of proportion. And that strat blade switch. I'm not even sure I do like it.
Nice to see Tele Plus! Fender don't deal with Lace Sensor anymore I don't think (everything that used to have them now has those Noiseless pickups) but I'd prefer they had put a standard-strat-sized pickup in the neck.
9.5" radius and jumbo frets all around? Everything they do is a "modern player" now really.

That Marauder looks more like that Stagg jaguar knockoff thing. It also looks very poorly photoshopped and stretched, so hopefully that's not really what it's going to look like. The horns don't look right from what I remember seeing of the marauder prototypes. Unless they just took the name and made something different, and they wouldn't do that right?! That would be like taking the Starcaster name and using it on a line of lower than squier bullet quality level strat knockoffs.... oh wait.... shit.
