OK RPS-10 managed to persuad me to take off his hands this bass from a miss spent youth and it needs some TLC to get it back to playing as it should. Now I'm not a perfectionist so my first aims is to get 4 strings on the beast, see if the electrics work and take it from there

now other than the dancing girls I love the existing decorations but first thing is to get 4 strings on this shortscale beast and take it from there.

I have 2 girls who are aged 5 & 3 and a wife so I need to have some kind of feminist backuo argument somewhere I can look cool to a degree but not to chauvinistic. but to be fair I actually think other than the tuners this could be quite sweet tbh

and yes, your not the first person to say I'm gay but we won't go there

Cover the girls up with some makeway stickers.

 You begged to have it!! you did!

This is going to be an excellent thread. needs MOAR SPUNK! - but yeah cover with Makeway stickers etc is a good solution too.

If you can, keep the Slam City Skates sticker at all costs!!

Anyone else notice the odd truly accidental placement of the letters "h" & "o".. didn't have the same connotations back in 87.

i think then that the stickers would be the best idea.

i'm now looking at the tuners, bridge and electrics.

also I realise why you took a chunk out of the headstock, you tried to make it look like a bc rich ;)

No I think that was inspired by the old Kramer aluminium neck headstocks.

Yo, just saw one of these converted to a Bass VI in a rough manner, thought you'd be interested.

Seeing it made me want a Bass VI-a-like too, I reckon I could do with one.

It's a very interesting idea, I like the "stripped down" colour of it too. Plus looks like I'm not the only one who has used masking tape to hold pickups on.

Found a picture of what the bass version was like, this hasn't got the orginal tuners though.

The Bass had 1 pickup the 6 string guitar had 2

I may still have the guitar neck in the attic somewhere which Chris is welcome to have if it's ever found.

thanks Si but at the moment I think I'm going to get the electrics working and then look at the possibilities of the baritone. I guess the main issue there would be the headstock/tuners and nut but given the masking tape inspired post from I<3Fuzz its very tempting
