Acoustic guitar lighting interference - help?

Hi all, just wondered if anyone can help.
My GFs mum owns a Taylor electro acoustic which is pretty susceptible to picking up interference from certain lighting rigs. She currently plays through a Marshall acoustic amp, which has an output to a PA. Apparently it's fine during set up, but when stage lights are on it's picks up pretty hefty hum.
We're assuming it's an issue with earthing/ grounding as opposed to an issue with the amp/ guitar / PA but to be honest I'm pretty lost...
Any thoughts?
