Teisco-Sonic

I got a little bored today and took the router to a Duosonic clone project I had lying on the sidelines.
I really like the feel of this little DuoSonic project but I didn't need another Duosonic/Musicmaster sounding guitar.
However, the pickups in the Teisco Tulip I recently got in a trade sounded quite tasty to me.
So now I just need a set of tuners and to figure out what color paint.

That looks great!s As for paint, I vote for Comp Orange, Shell Pank, or maybe LPB.

That looks so cool. I would probably pass on the headstock logo. But poo brown stain to Daphne blue and anything in between would work on this beast. Those pups are hot on this git. I would love to hear how it sounds when done.

Thanks everybody.
The pickups sounded great in the old tulip. Maybe they'll sound as good here.
Let's just hope I didn't screw up two guitars.

Burgundy Mist + Matching neck + headstock all painted
neck was painted on most part of teiscos.
I thought about painting the neck to match but I haven't decided yet.
Matching headstock for sure.
Burgundy Mist has been at the top of my list for a while now.

Those pickups are rad. I still have a beat up Tulip in my collection, though it's not in playable state anymore. I also have an old Decca that is a Tulip clone that has some rad old pickups in similar style. I love the sound of those.

If you're interested in discussing a future swap for some luthier work to get one of them playable, I would be cool with giving you the other one for parts or whatever. We can discuss at a future date, after our current project is finished up.

I just saw your Cyclone thread. That's a damn nice looking color. Looks real close to LPB.
There's an auto parts store on my drive home. I may have to check out what they have in stock.

I wanted to suggest LPB honestly. It's a really pretty color.
