Rosewood. I don't like the feel of maple, at all. On any guitar. I just don't.

I like both. I have mostly played rosewood in my years but I mostly play a maple Strat at the moment. I like the slipperiness on my candied CV neck but rosewood can be more soft and comfortable.

I prefer the look and feel of a satin maple neck to everything else.
However, a rosewood board with a glossy neck is close behind.
I somewhat dislike glossy maple necks, but I can play on them.

I prefer maple. Granted, that could be because I do not have any maple fretboards in any of my guitars and the maple ones I have played were from a 70's Ibanez Strat which was the best neck evar or a custom type thingy for a Tele (baseball bat).

Not enough guitars out there with maple boards especially shortscales and offsets.
They're particularly nice on a tele or strats though. The bright snappy sound you get is lovely.

Most of my guitars have rosewood necks including my blacktop; however my number 1 guitar is maple necked Tele... so I had to vote maple

Rosewood for me. The roundover on maple boards always feels too severe to me.

I absolutely adore my maple necked Tele, but I guess I prefer rosewood. The tele's the only guitar that can work rosewood. IMO

I like both, but prefer rosewood by quite a way.
I have 1 maple guitar and 5 rosewood.

I like both. My Baja telecaster has maple Nitro neck and the rest have rosewood. The rosewood on my Jagblaster is dark almost like ebony, while the rosewood on my AVRI Jaguar and Musicmaster are considerably lighter.
I recently tried to get a used Maple board neck for my Mustang project just because they are so rare, but I did not win it. Shortscale maples are rare and the unique factor is cool.

I've had one maple board neck that I actually liked on my first guitar, a Peavey Predator. One day I'll get that thing put back together and play it maybe, but I've never liked them other than that one guitar. And even then, I preferred rosewood over it.

Where's the ebony!?
I chose rosewood cause its woodier, and nicer to touch

My Taylor guitars have Ebony fretboards. Love them!!
Don't forget Pao Ferro boards for the Stevie Ray Vaughn fans.

Ebony is my favourite, but choosing between maple and rosewood, I'll have to go with maple.

MAPLE
MAPLE
MAPLE
I only have rosewood because its insanely expensive to swap out for maple on my weird guitars. (short scales and coronado)

I dig maple . . .
I really thought rosewood would be way more popular on this board. I'm surprised by the results.
