The ego of lil Wayne is fucking awesome: the guy can't play the guitar but he can't tell. He goes out there and makes his little shitty piddly noise and hears himself playing knopfler shit and he can not reconcile the difference between reality and his fantasy! How cool is that!?

I think it's kinda neat that he can't play worth shit yet still plays like he doesn't care.
How many people will never make anything out of themselves out of insecurity? And then this guy is out there with his million dollar record deals and playing a what, $350 guitar in front of people who all think he sucks at guitar.

i actually think its somewhat good that hes at least bringing the guitar back into the limelight a bit. Judging by the voices in the crowd, i doubt they have ever heard someone playing guitar before outside of the occasional strumming of wonderwall at some frat party in a last ditch attempt to get a drunken handjob.

I really liked that part in the Psirens episode of Red Dwarf where there's a double of Lister that has read his mind so it has his personality exactly, and they suss it out by giving each of them a guitar and shooting the one that can actually play (because Lister just thinks he can). And I think the same solution would work here too.
