My first telecaster - Squier Custom Vibe

No big surprise on this one, and even less since I tried it out earlier in the week - so rare to find a lefty that plays so nicely for so little money.
Anyway, here it is:
And a little extra added:
Really liking it. Bridge pup is a touch weak for me, but have ordered a
replacement so that will soon be sorted.
Other than that there is absolutely nothing to fault with it.
The neck is nice and thin and glossy, the finish is faultless. Tuners seem solid. Happy days.

Nice one Thom.
I was up on Denmark Street earlier and tried one of these and the custom model. Definitely preferred this version, super fast necks on 'em.
On an unrelated note, them Squier Jazzmaster's are utter shite.

i'm eventual going to trade my strat in and grab one of these CV teles and give it the keef neck bucker treatment.

Rob, if you commit such financial carnage on yourself, I will personally biff you on the nose the next time I see you. The teles are great, but so's your strat. You would instantly regret flogging it.
Thom, looks lovely mate - chuffed for you. What Bareknuckles are you thinking of? Yardbirds, or something terrifyingly hot that drags your cutlery across the kitchen?

Did that, was a good thing. Now I'm thinkin' about trading that HB fora P90-type treatment.

Cheers Tim! - afraid it has to be at the hotter end for me! I was looking at the blackguard series, but actually going to go for the Piledriver. Have heard good things - manages to keep the Tele sound but still hot enough for most applications.

If the neck is anything like the one on my CV50s Strat (seems the same on paper at least) you've got a winner. Lovely stuff.

also, don't mean to burst your bubble thom, but i used to date a self-proclaimed pin-up, and one thing i took away was the ability to spot the differences between '50/60's models; notice the strings on the bikini bottom? that's a 60's thang. jussayin.
great lookin tele though, love it.

nice snag Thom, I love the CV teles (ok all the CV guitars) is this the one with the alnico 5 pickups as people were complaining the old ones didn't have enough poke? Saying that, knowing your association with BKP then its not a surprise your switching it.
BTW what route is under the pickguard? My old CV tele (now with George) has a humbucker route in there, are they still doing this with the new ones?

Yeah they are the alnico 5 ones and they are absolutely fine, I just personally like really hot pups. I like the neck pup so not changing that. Not yet taken the pickguard off but will be interested to see - if it is a humbucker route then I might have a play around at some point!
