Interesting lack of headstock photo in that auction.

saw these the other day, they look fairly similar to those SX ones.

Isn't that exactly the same headstock as the pre-C&D SX guitars?
Anyway, not bad. Wouldn't require an enormous amount of work to make it a bit more Jazzmastery at all. Even so, I'd still rather have the new Squier, even if it is nearly twice the price.

Ah yes, the demagnetized magnets after a few decades trick. How do they work? [/sarcasm]

They actually look a lot like the GFS ones too, except the bridge has already been moved off the pickguard as if to make room for Jazzy pickups, whereas the GFS ones have the bridge on the pickguard when they have p90s.
Did SX ever actually make a JM-alike? I just remember that weird wonky thing with the sharkfin.

i think stew was probably thinking of the GFS guitars. SX never made a jazzy that i can recall. the SJM (a.k.a. weird wonky thing with the sharkfin) was the closest they came to a bolt-on offset.

These have been around a few years but originally they had a Strat trem.
I was thinking they are from the same stable as the Wesley San Diego, certainly almost looked identical at that time. If they are, the body is well finished and properly routed, the electronics are very average and the neck/tuners is'nt great. I ended up fitting a Strat neck on my Wesley.
