NGD Duo Sonic, and Hello

Hi folks, I just joined the forum.
I have in my hands a stock CV Duo Sonic.
I love it. But I think the bridge has to go.
Thanks to this forum and some other sites, I've found some options.
Which bridge will give me a better setup: MusicMaster or Toronado (or something else)?
Do both require shims to get the placement right?
And last but not least, should I drill thru-body or bridge for strings?
I'm not concerned about cosmetics or resale value and I do have a drill press.
Thanks in advance!

Welcome.
I'm not exactly familiar with the Toronado bridge, but I have the Musicmaster RI bridge and I'm installing it in my project guitar right now (as soon as I get my hands on a damn drill press...)
It appears to be the absolutely perfect bridge. As far as placement, just make sure you have the same range of movement with the saddles and it should be okay. It's up to you regarding drilling the bridge vs the body, but if you do drill the bridge please post and update us on how that goes, it's been an unanswered question as of yet. Personally I'm drilling out the body and planting the ferrules in back for mine.
Looks cool, Mustang style barrle saddles, grub screws. Seems perfect.
Only thing to consider is that the pickguard might not exactly fit with either bridge.

Hi Pens, thanks for the welcome. The other idea I have is to get a set of 6 saddles and drill out extra holes in the existing bridge.
However after looking for some time I'm still not sure what to get, plus the whole bridge getup costs the same or less.
Is there reported much difference in tone with the strings through the body?

Someone else will have to comment on the tone. I've never done that conversion.
Your other option might be to do one of these Universal Top Load bridges

Certainly sounds easier.

Nice link. The first two on the top left would work. String spacing is 2 1/8". But the Musicmaster just looks so cool.
Good luck on yours! I think before I buy I'm gonna wait to see if anyone else shows up on this thread.
