I am OCD and need closure.

I used it to record something I like to call "Doogstep".

It is a bit of a looker alright, though I can never decide whether to swap out the plate for a Pearloid(make it more Mustang like) or spray it black, or leave as-is. Some chips on it already - second hand, doesn't look like it was used up from the horrible way it was set up, could have gotten a few myself when manhandling, or when shipping it.

Very hard to take good pictures of it, tends to come out as a plain Red & White in most photos which isn't very "me". It looks classier in person.

Here's a nice clip of it into the Pod HD's Fender Bassman model -

Bassmans have a nice fairly neutral voicing on the Brite channel and can do everything from sparkling clean to high gain well so I like using the Bassman model for showing off guitars & pedals.

Loving the beatbox beats. Sounds like classic Scratch Perry style dub production sorta maybe like this track which springs to mind (MAD PRODUCTIONZ crazines near the end. LEL he was so stoned when he mixed that)

looks nice. i notice the pickup covers are the avri "aged" variety. . . are the pickups themselves avri or standard cij?

The strings are the wrong way around the tuner posts. It does look very nice though, you can't go wrong with a CAR + mint jaguar.

Stock Classic Player.I'm poor so no avris or doing up cijs for me. It's second hand though can't be sure. Pickups definitely have that hotter Fuller sound actually a pretty decent axe for metal if you can put up with the single coil noise. Probably wont swap tem out since it'd be hard to find something with that balance of sounding likeh a jag while being better for heavier stuff. Gladys hI got this over the HH but wither would have been great.

If you have the lead cirduit selected and both pups on they should noise-cancel (mine does) and if heavy tones are needed a simple booster gets me into METAL territory no probs. My booster is a saltbooster by Sir Mike of this forum and through a blackheart HT 5.

Mid position is out of phase so sounds super plinky surfee even with distortion(actually with clean it sounds less so its most pronounced at low gain like a lot of artifacts). Will probably do the series mod.

Congrats on your purchase.
In the off-chance you care, a Fender Original Strat Aged Trem Tip, 099-4933-000 probably matches your pickup covers.

great looking guitar. know what you mean about the candy apple red, it's hard to capture in pictures.

Candy Apple Red was supposedly Leo's favorite color. It really is hard to capture its shadings and depth in a picture; it's a really rich and complex color, and lighting and angle has a lot to do with how it looks. The guard on your Jaguar looks mint in the pictures, which I think is cooler option than a stark white pickguard on a CAR Jag. That really is a cool looking guitar - I'd leave it as-is! Pearloid might not be bad - especially a large block, aged white (yellowed) pearloid, but I'd pass on the black spray paint.

How's the vibrato on it? Any issues or quirks? Any problems with the Adjusto-matic bridge? The one I tried played pretty nice. The neck was a little thicker than I like, but generally had a nice C shape. The pickups had some nice punch to them, which is cool for a Jag with single coils. I thought it was a cool guitar. Actually, I'd say that's a very nice guitar you have there - congratulations! 8)

Personally The bridge pup on my CP has never done it for me on cleans, and not 100% with dirt. Both pups together, or on the Mike modded rhythm circuit it sounds great though

Unmodded, the rhythm circuit just uses the neck pickup, in which case someone who felt as you do might experiment with changing the bridge pickup. But its funny I read another post someplace where a guy put a CP bridge pickup in his build in place of an AVRI and loves it. So different strokes, I guess.
