I still think he should have put in a backing plate on the inverted jack cup so it was a self-contained bit of metal, then turned it upwards so you could put out your cigs in it.

Woulds be the only use I could find for a strat jack. I suppose if you were a green smoker you could PUT YOUR WEED IN THERE.

amazing that the body was traditionally routed... I thought the routing would be completely different.

There's something off about that trem.

That trem is going to give me nightmares.

That trem is taking life's lemons and making a serviceable lemonade out of it that will get the job done. I guess.

How hard was it to mount that bridge ????

I love the trem.. Aesthetically I'd have it nearer the bridge but the builder stated in his thread on this guitar he wanted as much behind bridge string as possible. He even added a jag trem plate to balance the looks. I like it a lot.

Personally, if I felt I absolutely needed to go to the trouble of installing a Jaguar rhythm circuit and a thin switch, I would take a little more effort and look for one of those "other" control plates and put in a toggle at the bottom, not the Jaguar's individual pickup selector switches.
The original guitar had the best pickup selector mechanism, located in the best place, for my tastes. Only worth changing if one desparately needed a rhythm circuit. If I was changing it I wouldn't want to make a change more for the worse.
YMMV and all that.
But I guess those plates are hard to find. And maybe that plus a custom pickguard would be more expensive. But still, I would not prefer to retrofit in a change to replace a toggle switch with something worse.

Not very mellow, not very logical.. Where one puts their jack is their business....
