Hi guys
I just bought brand new Fender Jaguar Special HH MIJ and when I checked Guitar Dater Project looking for production date it says:
"Your guitar was made at the
Fuji-gen Plant (for Fender Japan), Japan
in the Year(s): 1995 - 1996 "


1995-1996 ??
Is it possible? Anybody knows production years of this model?

Sounds like you have an HH that has an older MIJ Jag neck on it, not the original one.

Possible CIJ/MIJ conflict?

What year did they starting making that model?

'96 was definitely MIJ, that's what my Jag is. I think CIJ started in like '99 or '00, didn't it? If his HH says MIJ rather than CIJ, then it definitely has a swapped neck on there.

They have gone back to using MIJ so that's what the new ones are. Back in 2007 I think which had the usual MIJ/CIJ overlap after a swap.
It must be MIJ U0 + 5 digits or something like that. Am I right?

first, it can't be brand new and say "made in japan."

They can, and are - the new ones are MIJ not CIJ...from Fender Japan:

My MIJ 65 Mustang reissue apparently has a neck made in 1995-96. Funny how it has such an old neck for such a new guitar!

So it was made in 2010 onwards, is new and there's nothing strange about it.
U + zero + 5 digits = 2010 - 11
