i have not heard the band, but the tele's rad. maple neck that has been painted? crazzy

Billy Gibbons has a lot of guitars with painted fretboards. I think it's a nice stage guitar, give the people something different to look at.

I imagine it would last just as long as any other maple board . . .
I mean, ultimately, every maple fretboard is finished. we're just used to seeing it as clear coat.

I think I'm in this camp. I want to like this Tele, but I can't.
And those Deans are... well.. Deans, so I'm definitely inclined to not like them.

Are the Gibson baked maple fretboards clear-coated? I haven't seen one in the fl-, er, wood.
