Mine are 25 mm base, 20 mm top ,and 15 mm high. I tried looking around at local sources but ended up just buying them on Ebay for like 8-10 dollars inc shipping.

I think Jaguar knobs are pretty close to Mustang knobs.
Just get some Bronco Knobs and be done with it.

Which Mustang? Vintage ones are different to MIJ, and the pawnshop is probably different again.
The vintage ones are larger and have rounded points, the MIJ fairly spiky by comparison.
If when you say precision bass you mean the jazz bass set where it's two larger and one smaller knob, the mustang ones are the same size as the larger ones. You can get both varieties in a jazz bass set, too.

thanks, yes, I bought the rounder ones, 25 mm, the same as MXR uses. I noticed that the newer ones are pointier.

Are there fitment issues? Like the 'vintage' style have a grub screw and the 'spiky' kind are push fit?

That's right. Though I got grub screw ones to fit fine on push on pots.
