The 3 in the top row are all hot. They deserve their couch spot.

The best looking strat plus I've ever seen has got to be the elusive "Ben" finish.

I've hated the lace sensors in every guitar I've played with them, which is a shame because solid pickup covers are way attractive.

on a strat? no way.

the lace sensor golds in all three strat positions is holy. the red/white/blue bullshit is just that. the red (?) in that aeon/pwillie/haze jagstang was fucking nice though.

Always liked these. The tele plus of the same era always seemed a more interesting proposition though, even with the Radiohead association.

Firestorm Red, apparently. Yowzers!

A tele plus is on my list.

I would love to own one but with the blacktop tele and the new tele brown tele (don't remember what the line is called), they're so much cheaper to just get a guitar and throw those pickups in it; not worth the price, imo.

That strat sounds gooooood.

Easily the most IMPORTANT song of the 90s.

When I saw them the one of the guitarists had this awesome handmade jazzmaster type thing. Handmade amp too (he made it).

They came in a lot of colours, some unique to that sort of guitar (tele/strat plus/deluxe etc.) like the firemist red.

The one DanHeron posted is Caribbean Mist, a short lived and rare colour but was also available on jazzmasters. The yellow is graffiti yellow.

that strat does sound good.

I've listen to Built to Spill a bunch on record but would never have guess he was a strat player.. What do we think the hand made amp is? Based on the old twin (not reverb?) with more mids?

When I saw him he was using a Blackface Bassman (conveniently placed in front of the drummer). I read an interview where Doug claims he's not much of a gear head, he lets the pedal/amp builder dude deal with most of that. He was using a Deluxe Memory boy among other things.

They really pull off 3 guitarists, let me tell you. There were some dicks in the crowd dissing the new members of the band and just calling out drunkenly song names from "Perfect from now on" and Doug got really pissed off. And they didn't play car...

One of my friends has the wine redish color. It sounded pretty good but that thing was heavier than any les paul I've ever played. It was heavier than my old stingray bass. Crazy heavy.

My Strat is a similar colour to this. It's not a Strat Plus though, just a US Standard. I was told when I bought it that the colour was Crimson Burst, it's transparent in the middle and gets less transparent out to the edges of the body.

The law of averages suggest that if the guitar isn't or hasn't been Westies, it some day will.

he'd never have 6 of the same guitar at once though.
