looks to me like a double anniversary in a color that is not green or sunburst.

It is a great song. I saw them supporting Metric last year and had never heard them before. Pretty sure he was playing a gold or silver jaguar through the whole set.

saw them at music midtown great band, love his sound. Am i the only one who thinks they could be the next "White Stripes type sounding band if they made it big enough

If it's all about the music then possibly. As cheesy as it sounds I think the White Stripes' commercial success had a little to do with their image, gimmicks, and name. The White Stripes? They're that red and white wearing two piece band with the plastic guitars and high pitch singing with overly simple drums that says they're brother/sister but are really divorced. Both Jack and Meg stand out as unique musicians and characters on their own, and pretty much did from the get go. The fact that their name also represented their image made them a household name fast, and the fact that their music was good and catchy made them last so long.metalhead384 wrote:saw them at music midtown great band, love his sound. That said I also think songwriting wise these guys are a little more modern and somewhat versatile, and less likely to ever have their entire library's sound capsulized by a Weird Al song about Charles Nelson Reilly.

I had liked the White Stripes a lot for while, now I'm noticing how there's no depth to them, how quickly I tire of them. I loved this Band of Skulls song, it seemed like a real song, not a stunt
