Boss DD7

Post by johnnyseven »

I've just been looking into Boss digital delay pedals, after someone suggested that they may be able to replicate a guitar sound that i'm fond of, and I stumbled across the DD7. It really seems to be the daddy of digital delays, it has all the features I reckon I could ever want from a delay. I've read good reviews but do any SS'ers have one and would you recommend? Are there any other pedals with similar features at a similar price? I'm thinking of putting it on my Christmas list.

It's basically a smaller dd20. It's a great delay, but in the same price range you have the memory man with hazarai, and that one is my all time favorite delay, and delay used to be my thing...

Scored a DD7 on ebay last night for £67, which I reckon is a steal. I'll just have to wait and see if it actually turns up. Was looking at the SMMwH but they were going for £120+ used. Thanks for the advice though.

£67 seems a good price, but in terms of daddy of digital delays, I thought the DL-4 was where it was at? Fair bit bigger, mind.

It probably is the daddy but it's huge and probably a bit heavy for me to carry around to gigs on my pedal board. The DD7 by comparison is a lot more convinient.

£67 is a great price for one of those.

For some reason the guy put a load of pedals, including this one, and a guitar up on one day listings. I guess he needed cash quick. I was pretty lucky as they normally go for £90+. I'm half expecting it to get 'lost in the post' though and not actually turn up.
