No big deal new bass day. Easily the best sub-200$ bass I've played. Blows the bronco away.
This thing is sexy:

How are the tuners? Also, how do you find the pickups, I've read loan talk bass and harmony central that they are the only failing point.

Haven't plugged it in yet. Waiting to do so on my buddy's SUNN tomorrow. I read a ton on talkbass - seemed to say the Jazz Bass pickup is weak, but the P-Bass one is worth keeping.

i dig it..
they didn't have a red one when i picked up mine.. but that is why i got the black.
i'd say the tuners are decent.. certainly not in super need of being upgraded..
as for the pickups, i think they both sound good, but then again.. my ears are slightly.. askew..

Nice. The g string looks a little too close to the edge, though it might just be the angle of the pics.

waiting for new shortscale DR hi beams to actually set the bass up.
my biggest critique at this point is the neck dive. I bet if I switched the tuners out for hipshot ultra lites or similar it would remedy it -- but that would cost 75% of what the bass did...
