Anyone heard of these 'Cimar' Mustang copies? MIJ, 70's looks pretty good and is pretty cheap. I don't have the cash, but just thought it was interesting.
Gumtree
After googling, a Shortscale thread came up. Might even belong to a poster/former poster?

Oh that's my old one. A lovely little guitar, I spent quite a bit of money setting it up. Pickups were super weak, but the body is mahogany (i think) and neck is lovely. I think I paid £180 for it 4 years ago, and sold it for about the same. I wish I had it back but had to sell when I moved from Glasgow to Suffolk.

Looks hot. If it's MIJ 70s it'll probably at least match Classic Vibe Squier for the same price used.

Cimar are Ibanez under a different branding. Generally pretty good, and that looks to be a reasonable price - possibly a little high.

wasn't there something up with the neck? Or was it that these don't have truss rods.... Or I might be thinking of another guitar.
