Baritone Blacktop Telecaster Gossip

Some of you may have seen elsewhere, but rumours are afoot of a Blacktop Baritone Tele. It's listed on a few American bulk sellers (Guitarcenter and Music 123, if memory serves) but with no images and no availability. Priced at $499. Available in Ghostly Silver or Copper summat. This may amount to nothing, or we may be about to hear of an affordable Fender baritone.

Fuck you tell me this now just as I'm starting to get the money together to plan finding a used classic player thinline tele for around the potential price. Shit, this could be interesting

Question is, will it be a 27" or a proper Bass VI 30"? If it's the latter, I'm totally in. If not, out.

I've played 27.78" scales and 30" scales - doesn't make a jot of difference to the feel or sound, in my opinion. Reckon this'll be the former - conversion necks

Hey guys don't worry I'll check it out at Namm.
And then I'll fucking get one.
It has my two favorite guitar things. Telecasters and baritones.

Now with completely unconfirmed image:

Wrong bridge and pickup configuration for me, but still good for the money.

Welllllllllll.....
I hate to admit it, but a baritone with a humbucker in the bridge into a fuzz and a bass amp sounds pretty fucking good.
At least in my setups, as my amps tend to be "overbassed"
Never liked the sound of a bridge HB clean until I got the 72 deluxe RI. That one's OK. But like I said, with a superbass setup, a bridge humbucker can sound real good, and a neck pickup, single coil or otherwise can get over-woofed.
