I would have paid $42. Without hesitation.
The cheapest I've paid for one is $299, new, in 1998.
They have been selling for around $600 for the last year, give or take. I want to get another one to strip and paint it. Daphne blue, I think. Or surf green.

A Whole Bunch of Guitars. Some with sparkles. Some with Pearl. Some with racing stripes.
Mine cost me $280 last November with a gig bag, JB+split on the bridge, and a douchetastic Fender decal (to be replaced once I can find a replacement super sonic decal)wadeaminute wrote:I would have paid $42. Without hesitation.

Nice. I once bought one in a pile. All disconnected. $350. Worked on it for several months and now it is my coral esquired one.mkt3000 wrote:Mine cost me $280 last November with a gig bag, JB+split on the bridge, and a douchetastic Fender decal (to be replaced once I can find a replacement super sonic decal)wadeaminute wrote:I would have paid $42. Last year, I saw a neck on eBay that I wanted pretty bad, but I was outbid. I'd love to start with only a neck. Make a body from scratch.

After working on mine (and playing it for one gig I allowed him), my tech wants to make his own Supersonic, with a tele pickup on the bridge, a mini humbucker on the neck, and a mustang trem.

It's for sale again. The guy that bought it is flipping it.
