Features:

Compact, durable yet lightweight, aluminum-cast enclosure integrates easily into any traditional pedalboard.
Can be used inline with other effects pedals, or directly connected to amplifiers or PA systems using regular 1/4" guitar cables, with no need for adapters.
Allows precise adjustment of the signal for perfect guitar and bass levels with its large input gain knob.
Active battery-powered output circuit improves headroom, especially when used with high-gain amplifiers in the AmpliTube app, reducing feedback and crosstalk when recording.
The bypass switch allows engaging or bypassing the AmpliTube app chain of effects – like a traditional stompbox – for seamless integration into any existing rig.
Ultra-compact form-factor can be easily carried on the road.
Features a 3.5mm/1/8" jack for silent practicing with headphones.
Includes AmpliTube FREE app and can be used with any other guitar processing app that uses the iOS mini-jack
Has an ultra-small, compact profile that can be carried anywhere with ease.
Compatible with iPhone/iPod touch/iPad.

So you put the iPhone in the pedal presumably face down, and then you can use it as a pedal in your stompbox chain? Seems cool but I imagine fiddly to adjust the iRig Software parameters....

By the looks of the output icons, there's a cable connection to the iDevice on the back; I can't believe they'd put the device INSIDE the pedal.

Hmm.. that's almost weirder. Wouldn't people be nervous of an iPhone lying on their pedalboard? I know I was when I was using iRig in that way.

Yeah, it is pretty odd that this pretty much brings such a small, pricey and somewhat fragile piece of gear to the realm of Feet And Spilled Beer.

Maybe they supply a longass cable so you can put the phone out of harm's way? Still allows it to get tripped over and fucked up though..

Looks like the phone connects via a cable on the far end of the casing to the mic/headphone jack; I doubt it's housed inside.

I have one of these. The long cable theory might be valid.

So, apparently it IS the interface, rather than using an iRig.
