Just bought Squier CV 50's Fiesta Red Strat from sweetwater. i think i'll arrive in a week or two. I heard they are very good in sales and they took care of their customers like a king. How's ur experience with em?

I've never ordered from Sweetwater but I've heard good things about their customer service.

I've been a Sweetwater customer for 7-8 years, I think (synths, audio, effects, and guitars) and have had the same sales consultant for most of that time. Once you buy something, you get a sales consultant who's assigned to you. It's not annoying like it sounds because they do know their stuff, they're not pushy, they constantly get product training, and you normally don't hear from them unless you contact them or if they know you're considering something and they have a deal on it. They don't always have the cheapest advertised prices, but they'll usually match them (unless they lose money on it). Anything you buy comes with a 2-year warranty through them for free. No add-on extended warranty b.s. to purchase. I've bought my last three new guitars there without any issues because they inspect everything prior to shipment. And my M9 came with the latest OS update.
One thing to keep in mind if you're here in the States--if you order off their website and select free shipping, they'll send it via SmartPost which sucks. But, if you call them and speak to a sales consultant, you get free Fed Ex Ground.

that sounds cool but what is SmartPost and why is it worse than FEDEX ground?

FedEx Ground is direct delivery from the sender to the receiver. With Sweetwater, that's no longer than 3-4 business days to my location. SmartPost is a service offered by FedEx in order to save businesses money on shipping (from what I read). Instead of delivering directly to your home address, they take it to your local USPS office or processing center where it sits around for 2-3 days and is then delivered to you by USPS. It just adds to the delivery time and you can't go pick it up while it's there. You have to wait for USPS to make a delivery attempt. Amazon uses it for stuff that can fit inside a mailbox.

Hopefully it'll arrive at my place safely. My Sales Engineer is Eddie Tighe. He's pretty awesome.
