bet there's not often a Swinger for grabs at all, and then in Europe. nice find.

but still, these guitars being rare doesn't make them more desirable to me, somehow. everything about it looks wrong.

I have to agree with you, it's a very strange looking guitar, not really my cup of tea.

Very, very rare. IIRC they were cut down Musicmaster bodies. Something about Fender trying to get rid of old stock. There were only like 300 ever made.

Bass V bodies. hence the cutaway on the bottom because of the string through holes.

i'm curious to see what this sells for. not that i'd buy one, but they don't come up in the UK, like, ever.

I can buy a lot of gear that I'll like more than that guitar for what the auction is up to right now

Bodies from the Bass V, parts from the Musicmaster... so everybody win :)

I quite like the look and sound of a Swinger... but I can't justify the prices they tend to go for.
That one is lovely.

westtexasred did a good job in choosing a brackground for the ugly headstock that doesn't show its pure ugliness at first sight :D yours has an awesome finish though. that and the aged pickguard looks cool. But body shape and headstock still lokks wrong.

but hey, it's a piece of 7ender history. And it's more useful than those Broadcaster prototypes without Truss Rod that are worth stupid money.

Did they make more of these than they did Bass Vs? I can't remember how many of the Bass V they were said to have made, but I think it was 100-500 or so.

200. House of Guitars has three of them, which is 1.5% of all Bass Vs made.

Dakota red is correct. BTW - I saw one in sunburst recently but I can't tell if it's a refin or not.
