Hardtailing a Strat Trem

New idea I just found. Tele bridge mounted over the Strat Trem cavity by drilling six holes in a tele bridge to mount it directly in to the strat trem pivoting screws. If one had a topload tele bridge, that would solve the string-thru problem.
I've been looking for the easiest way (other than a block of wood) to hardtail my Super-Sonics.
Thoughts?

I don't understand why you want to do this in a way more complicated way than just blocking the thing? I guess if you want another way, unscrew the block and drill a hole through it (in the direction the springs attach). then put a screw through it into the tail end of the body.

Hmmm. That's an idea, too. Thanks.
I just wish that they were hard tails. And I like tele bridges.

I don't know how polished you'd want the whole thing to look afterwards, but the tele bridge thing would leave a large and very-visible hole all the way through the guitar on the front.
See the plug in SRV's strat because of the lefty bridge he installed

OR, a ZZguitarworks space bridge to cover up the cavity, and a Gibson-style stop bar. Or do a string-thru body behind the bridge.

I would use 5 springs and just block it...

I've even thought of getting really small turn buckles in replacement of the springs.

I have a guitar with a strat trem on it and I just jammed a piece of wood in there between the trem block and the body. Trem blocked.

This, a block of wood, and a drop of glue.
That's what I did on my Supersonic (my first one and my current one), my old Talman, any strat I've ever owned, and what I will do on my Cyclone when it arrives.

5 springs and crank down the claw as always been the easiest way. The hipshot idea looks interesting but I would think requires some wood work. I've never tried it but you can drill a hole thru the block then use a bolt and a jam nut. You'd still need to keep springs on to complete the ground circuit
