So this is actually a genius idea.
http://www.marshallamps.com/product_ran ... RangeId=33

A 1 watt amp version in mini head/mini combo format for each decade of Marshall.

1960s - JTM
1970s - JMP
1980s - JCM
1990s - DSL
2000s - JVM

The DSL/JVM ones are going to be dual channel and have FX loops also. They're doing a staggered release for each one 10 weeks apart but the JTM one is out and £479. Not steal of the century but not too bad..

You can probably get a 50w-100w kit, spend a week putting it together when your not working or jacking off and save a fuck ton of money.

i saw these and thought it was a great idea but the price is a bit steep. Are they limited editions also?

These are a great idea, the JCM800 one is very cool. I'd have very little use for one but that doesn't stop me wanting one. Luckily though they cost more than I can afford so all is good.

a 1 watt 800 or a 1 watt 2 channel JVM both sound like awesome ideas. You could actually use the 800 at the levels of gain where it sounds best.

Problem is you can buy the original heads for these on the used market for less thatn what the price of thes is looking to be or really close to it and at least with the JVM, there is no issues playing it at bedroom volume and oyu'd get the pedal and all 4 channels.

Yep. My JCM 900 halfstack with a 1960A included was less than this, and I scored a '73 handwired 100-watt plexi for less too. And went the clone route for way less. Cute but silly price.

Exactly. These should be like 200 pounds in the UK and maybe 350-400 here in the states.

No way any of these heads should cost more than a class 5 combo.

They should get into the handbag business.

Limited edition, innit.

No doubt the Blues Lawyer community is saving up their pocket change to buy each and every one, then sell 'em off as a multipack when the next Dumble comes along.

haha

Marshall should totally do these in a regular line at a sort of tiny terror price. They'd make a killing. From me alone.
