Butchered Fender Starcaster neck on eBay

Someone cut up an original 1976 Starcaster neck and is trying to sell it for $545. It's one of the rarest necks from one of the coolest Fenders and somebody cut it up like it was some Allparts project neck. I don't know how he expects to get that price for that. I would love to pick it up cheap and try to restore it back to original. I hate to see such cool vintage neck treated like that.

I didn't think it would be possible to make the Starcaster headstock look any more like a dong, but homeboy managed to find a way. What a shame.

ouch. People have always looked at Fenders as mod platforms though. And by the 70s everyone knew the golden age was over. Damn I love Starcasters though. I can't believe they use that name for their worst guitars now.

"
Headstock Cut to Tele style"
Gods that's a generous interpretation.

Ugh. I saw that. He should be thinking a lot more like $300 or less. That small piece of wood adds another $900. You'd almost have to cut it flat and replace the maple, or go full Tele to get your money out of it.
