For all non-guitar instruments; mandolins, synths, kazoos, and anything else musical that doesn't fit elsewhere.

Was thinking of getting one of these for recording little demos/youtube vids/stomach churning home made porn. Has anyone had any experience with them?

They are going for about £40 Here which seems pretty good because I have seen them priced a lot higher.

There's a lot of competition in that area. Can't really say if it's different enough from a Flip or other generic mini-camcorders to be of specific interest to musicians or not.

The Zoom H4-type mini-mics certainly look like added value, but looks can be deceptive.

I have a Zoom Q3 I record with. Here is a vid I took at a VERY loud club. It does a great job at all volumes.

Flips are great in high SPL situations.
