$50 guitar necks from Guitarfetish
Anyone ever used these? Someone told me they were pretty good and the price was amazing. I wanted to do a Larger headstock for my Jazzmaster, but I am concerned there is not enough wood to make the larger Headstock.

It's not big enough to cut a Jazzmaster headstock but you can scale down the template
and make it work. That's what I did on this one.
The necks are good for the price but not Allparts or Mighty Mite quality. Of course the GFS is half the price.
Does Allparts offer a paddle head neck?
and make it work. That's what I did on this one.

I had one of their early glossy tele ones. It was cheap and shitty, and made the tele I put it on similarly cheap and shitty.
Allparts necks make the guitars you put them on feel like Fender Japan.

agreed. I hate them. they're way to flat and the finish just feels bad. I'm sure they'd be okay if you finished them yourself but a 12" radius just feels terrible.

Mine had a 9.5" radius, which I think lended to the cheap/offbrand feel.SKC Willie wrote:paul_ wrote:I had one of their early glossy tele ones. It was cheap and shitty, and made the tele I put it on similarly cheap and shitty.

Thanks for the input. I wouldn't mind taking a chance at $50, but I really want the bigger headstock and want vintage specs.
In the same vein, has anyone ever bought a neck from these guys:

In the "Home Depot" section. In particular check out the neck builds of Jack Wells and Adirondack5 (Herb)SKC Willie wrote:check out tdpri.com section of build threads. They have a lot of guys over there who build necks from scratch and they have a lot of really good threads on how to do it.

the necks that come on their guitars are 12". so, unless they changed them recently or don't sell the same necks they use on their guitars, you probably played the 12" because it is really flat and makes the guitar feel cheap. Maybe not cheap, but it makes it feel like a piece of crap.paul_ wrote:Mine had a 9.5" radius, which I think lended to the cheap/offbrand feel.SKC Willie wrote:paul_ wrote:I had one of their early glossy tele ones. I think I want to attempt a heel adjust neck build this summer.

i can also vouch for the EDEN necks i've picked up a few of them, the price is right, and they work fine.. they just happen to go on guitars that get tossed around a bit when we play, so i've broken a couple of them, HOWEVER having said that, they lasted longer then the OG Fender neck, and the Squier neck that i replaced it with first..
also, i no longer break guitars anymore.. it just got to costly, and i've become much less frustrated since moving to shortscales..
