Yeah, I think it's been about 2 years since last poast on the vain subject: I'm dragging out a picture of Ms. Mebarak-Ripoll out again, but only because a hi-res shot from Earth Germany gave me more than second thoughts about the gaudy mess that bordered on cool...in theory.

Conclusion. Rhinestones on pank Mustang may possibly have the neato factor from afar, but does not a champagne sparkle make. Ever*

Good Shot of the guitar. I wouldn't put rhinestones on my Mustang, but it still looks cool.

From Fender's website

I knew she was tiny, but the Mustang looks huge on her

This is one of those things, if you're Shortscale.org forum poster LeisureClub it's not very cool. If you're pop superstar Shakira its really, really cool.

I'd look really stupid playing that in front of people. It's more than likely far too expensive of a guitar for irony's sake also.

No one said being awesome did not have a cost.

It's kinda awesome... but seriously, it only works for someone who's a big name act already. Pretty much no one could pull this off on a small stage.

PSSSHHH people love my HK when I break it out on stage. I get random 40-yr old women telling me how awesome Hello Kitty is after the set.

Hmm, I think it's highly unlikely that I'd get more girls by leaving those things at home. I'd still be a 120 pound Asian with glasses. Plus the only people who ever compliment my Fenders are dudes, anyway.

I wish I'd read this post before I spent half the evening bejeweling my Jaguar...
