So, I figure I may as well start a thread about this.

My initial thought was to buy a lefty Squier bullet and flip it, but I couldn't find one I liked locally and shipping one was expensive. So it started with a cheap Strat body:
I've since ordered a pickguard:
Once I receive the neck, it'll start to look like a guitar. Unfortunately, I couldn't find a lefty neck that I liked, but the red headstock on this one matched the pickguard, so I went with this as a plan B.

As far as bridge options go, this is what I'm looking at: http://www.ebay.com/itm/200404228363 but blocked with 5 springs.

Now for pickups. The pickup in the pickguard pic is a 78 Musicmaster pickup, which I won't be using for this build. I have a Carvin AP11R on the way (a pickup I've always wanted to use), which is going to be in the middle. On the neck I have a GFS Lil' killer, and for the bridge a GFS VEH.

The wiring will be a bit different (and I'm searching for a diagram or help to do this). 3 pickups with 3 individual volume controls, a split on the bridge via a push-pull bottom pot, and a push pull neck pot to activate the neck pickup at all times (similar to my G&L, where a push-pull pot activates the bridge at all times), so I can have all 3 or neck + bridge on.

Hardware's gonna be all chrome.. and as far as knobs, I might have to hit up sloan for some more Bronco knobs.

Just do a blender instead of the push pull and have one master volume and one master tone. What is the point of having 3 volume knobs? Do you not plan to adjust pick up height?

I rarely use tone knobs, but I use volume. However the blender knob does sound interesting.

I like that combo in a weird way, curious to see things all together!

Reminds me of the custom S-Classic that Mr. Park built for Jim McGorman, who we got to hook up with here while he was on tour with Avril Lavigne last year. Black and red can work so nicely sometimes, and the oppositely matching headstock added a funky coolness about it:

I'm having serious difficulty locating a 2 post lefty bridge that'll mount up on the same posts.

I like those kind of bridges. I would get a decent steel block for it though.

Some new pics. Neck arrived, feels good. Fret ends need to be filed down though.

Squier Standard series stuff is great quality compared to the Affinity series, I actually prefer the feel of their necks to Fender MIM standards 'cause they're a tad smaller-profiled.

Hurrah for Squier gear - good pricing and a good foundation to work on.
