Fender Pro-Reverb + Bassman on Kijiji
I recently heard a Fender Pro-Reverb at a local vintage shop and I was blown away. The guy was dialing in tones I could not deal with. They were so good.
The amp was also selling for like $5000.
Are there any modern equivilants to the Pro-Reverb? I know it is does not have a re-issue, but are their any Fender amps that have a similar circuit board. Or even other companies?
It is essentially the best amp I have ever heard. |But there is no way I am paying vintage prices, poop.

Silverface Pro-Reverbs are usually around $700-$1000 around here. You may want to look into Bandmaster Reverbs or Dual Showman Reverbs. If you look at the silverface or even reissue stuff, it shouldn't go over $1500 and will get you really close to the classic Fender sounds. Was this amp an early Blackface example in pristine condition? $5000 seems high...

I would also agree that $5000 is absolutely ridiculous for a Pro Reverb of any age or condition. For comparison, here are the used Pro Reverbs at Guitar Centers (known for inflated vintage pricing) across America:
Used Pro Reverbs @ Guitar Center
I don't think they ship internationally, but at least you have an idea of the prices as they are in a giant American chain store. The most expensive one on hand -- a weathered '65 -- is $2400.
One of my friends has a SF ('78) Pro Reverb and I always thought it sounded great. In 2007, there was one for sale at our local music shop for $700 and he traded a Mesa Boogie Maverick for it -- which of course made the shop owners incredibly happy. I think he ended up with a few Boss pedals out of the deal too, but I digress. It's a fantastic-sounding amp and its 40W+2x12 always a great compliment to the 100W+1x15 Vibrosonic Reverb I use.
As mentioned already, for the most part the BF Super, Pro, and Bandmaster Reverbs (AB763) and the SF Super, Pro, and Bandmaster Reverbs (AA1069) were the same circuit, differing only in speaker config. There were a few different variations and deviations over time, and it seems for some reason each amp's schematic showed the same circuit number but varied slightly -- compared to the early 70s circuit for the Twin/Quad/Vibrosonic/Dual Showman/Super Six Reverb, which shared a more sensible schematic with notes for speaker configuration:

Thanks for all the info guys!
AVJ thanks for clarifying that the super, pro and bandmaster are all similar.
It helped out a lot.
I think the amp was actually selling for over 3k, I was being dramatic to imply that I'd never, ever buy it.

By local standards, I would call that a fair deal, yeah. It looks pretty clean.
Missing badge hurts it's resale value a little. I'd offer five.
