The Guard looks a little off but I think I could reshape that a little or in fact, just get another cut.

What do you guy think all round ? Looks like a jag body rather that Jazz ?

Shall I continue to just build one myself with slightly better parts to my spec ?

that neck looks like a Squier or some other cheap knock off neck.

when they don't have kind of marking around the truss rod cover it usually means it's a cheap neck but I've never heard or played a D R Parts guitar neck, so maybe it's nice. I bet it has like a 12" radius on the neck too.

Guard looks more than a little off to me. And echo what willie said about the neck. Might be better off continuing your search.

Thanks Dan I seen that.... he actually made this one as well, but I prefer the more traditional looking Telemaster like Fender put out.

He seems like a nice down to earth guy, he said he'd accept £300 for the one at the top. Still don't know what to do ??

I've never bought a guitar of this value blindly before.

I'm a little dubious about the positioning of the bridge as well... on the Fender version it sits a little closer to the neck from observation, hence why I think the saddle intonation screws are at full stretch, and guard looks a little out of proportion... Hmm... I think I'm just going to build my own, then least it'll be my own fault.

I would hate to have to sell this on if it turned out to be subpar with niggles. I'm sure it's fine but still, not sure I want to take the risk.

Yeah, it looks like the bridge plate is further back a little bit. Building your own would be cool anyway, a nice project. Did Fender ever make one with a neck pickup? I only see esquire versions on google.

Yeah, I think it might have just been the Esquire style setup on the officials. Does look a little better....

I did wonder about planting a pickup underneath the pickguard but that's just destined to go wrong haa. Need to keep it simple.

A huge cause for concern. One to avoid for that reason alone.

Yeah I agree... Almost looks like it's been positioned based on the size of the guard lol. I think it's about a cm out.

I'm gonna assemble one myself for sure.

I think I've got the necessary skills to do that quite well.

Looks alright to me, I think the odd combination of hardware and body shape is making it look a bit more wonky.. I'm sure the saddles can be tweaked enough to sort out any slight issues.

It just looks a little stretched to accommodate, I'm sure it is fine though.

Indeed. The other one has the saddles so far at their limit that you can see the inside thread of the saddles without any of the screw showing.

I've been in conversation with the ebayer, and he's shown me more of his work. Some really really nicely built guitars.

He's reassured me regarding the intonation query. The bridge placement is spot on and photos shown are pre-setup ... so that explains that. Also the necks I've been told are Far Eastern made and a step above basic Squier necks.

I've mentioned I'll probably be putting one together and he's offered to help out if I get stuck. Seems like a top notch fella like I mentioned in previous post.

I'm trying to get him to join, and share his work with youse.

The Soapbar pick ups one look much better to me, lovely guitar!
