Beautiful color with one of gibsons best designs imho. I haven't been on the forums much recently, so I don't know if this is old news.
Also, why in the fuck would gibson charge $140 more for the sunburst? They should at least throw in a real fretboard for that much extra

played one, the obeche wood is very unsuitable for a fret board, I put a gouge in one with my finger nail when playing one at GC....do not buy until they change the fret board wood

Obeche, is terrible. We had real problems with our shop stock... and protruding frets. Several guitars were sent back... I think the wood shrunk beyond expected or they were just too quick to get them out. We had first replacement back a few days ago and it was just as bad. Grrr... they make me so angry. That's going back too.

They're already stopping using the wood, so that tells you something.

This is the sad state of the current quality control at gibson these days.

They just feel really cheap... Sadly. I've been able to play quite a few of these and the SG version they put out recently. One of the SG's played pretty well but still as a whole the series doesn't feel worth the price.

PB is a pretty sexy colour, but i'm happy with my TV yellow JR, with rosewood fretboard.
