Haha,that's great idea.I don't know why Fender named this amp Greta but I do know why they named the other "Pawn Shop amp" Excelsior.

Let me know what you think. I'm pretty sure my opinions for this kind of thing are public knowledge here. For $200 I think I'd much rather have one of the new Yamahas.

I want on of them too,but I have a VOX Valvetronix VT20+ so for now I'd rather try the Greta. I want to see what it looks like in person. It looks like a plastic radio in the pictures but the specs say that the front and back are wood and the top is metal.

Got my Greta.Musician's Friend sent it in a big ABL semi!
It really feels more like a radio made in the late 30's or early 40's than a guitar amp. Seems very well made. It is not plastic. The front and back are red lacquered wood as are the feet. The top is gold painted metal. It's really pretty heavy for it's size.
2 watts into a 4 inch speaker is still pretty loud for a bedroom amp if you dime it but still I can get some very satisfying tones at lower volumes too. Can't play it too loud now because my girlfriend is sleeping.

I'm seriously considering buying one next month while I'm stateside and bringing it back as a carry-on. How much does it weigh, and do you think it'd fit in a backpack?
