Hi all, new to the form. Found when researching info about coronados but I do love shortscales!! I have a 1960 musicmaster and a 59 duosonic on the way!!
My question is a about the current value of a 69 Fender Coronado II in great condition but without original hardcase. Its a regular sunburst finish and seller said he would throw a epiphone hardcase. He is lookin €1000. Good deal?
Thanks,
Danny

I would go for it. But then, I'm in the UK so most US prices look good to me.

On first look it seems quite high, but:
A) they're going up in value all the time
B) they're probably even scarcer in Ireland than they are in the UK.
I'd offer him 100 less, muttering something about standard finishes being worth less than custom colours and see what he says. Depends how much you want it, innit.

I've been looking at Coronados too, and that one you mention in Ireland (I'm in england). It works out about £815 which seems pretty good to me. It's not a rare colour but its in good nick... You will be waiting a long time for a better priced one to come along anyway.

A rare custom color Coronado II sold for the buy it now price of around €2k on ebay recently. €1k in Ireland where you guys already pay a premium for guitar items isn't bad at all. The seller claimed it to be an early 67 but the black centred pickup covers might nott match up to that, though to be honest he might be right because I don't know when they changed from all chrome.

Also, see the thread I made recently asking for about the value of mine if you haven't already. It'll give you a bit of a guide though it's mostly about an LPB one.

I think I'll go for it. They don't come up to often and it would cost a fortune to get one in from the states!
I'd love this one!!

ah, i thought the ££-to-euro ratio was a lot closer for some reason. in that case i'd definitely go for it.

From what I have seen over the year, the cover change was about May of 1967...but like everything with Fender, nothing ever happened in a day!

IBM is spectacular. I don't own any sunbursts and my lief is an empty sham
