NGD: 50th Anni Jag CAR

Thought I might post this here as well
I've had it know for almost 1 mounth, couldn't be happier!
When I was unboxing it I thought: "-Man, did they put bricks in the case or what?"
It's my heaviest guitar right know. 4kg!
Love the neck, really fat like my vintage B+B neck.
I had to put masking tape on the bridge posts other than that, it's a really solid guitar. It almost feels like when I bought my first Fender,
an E-series Contemporary Telecaster from the 80s. "wow, is this what Fender's feels like like"
The neck had some backbow, so I took the neck of and adjusted the trussrod. Nov 2011:
The anniversary neck plate:
Plenty of space for a mute on my jag.
Chip's LPB Jag didn't have as much:
Family pictures:
Fender Kingman, '69 Comp 'Stang, Squier CV 50s strat, CIJ jag w/ vintage B+B neck and the 50th Jag
Yeah, So I happen to like Blocks and binding. So what

I'm liking it.
I love the 50th anniversary guitars, I played one like yours in a local shop when they first got it in. I don't even mind the repositioned trem.
I do wish fender had put a better bridge on, and if they'd colour-matched the headstock...

How does it sound compared to your CIJ?

I like the original bridge. I still have it on my '07 CIJ jag. It's tuned in D and no issues with string slipping, i've put 12s on it.
And for the 50th Jag. They have angled neck pockets also(1 degree I think)
So with that and the moved trem plate, which looks better to me now than the original placement
There's no issues at all with strings popping

Well the CIJ jag has upgraded PUs, Seymour Duncan wired hot. CTS pots and cloth wire and a vintage B+B neck
But the Anni Jag sounds much better. I found myself using the bridge pickup and the rythm circuit all the time. The whole guitar feels more solid.
Im rarerly using it on my CIJ

Very nice, great pics too! Got a proper Jaggie bonar moment just then.
I particularly love the detail on the neck plate, nice touch.

Ooh! VERY nice! What you mentioned about the bridge pickup sounding better that your other Jags, I also noticed, when I played the Thinline Jag I put on layaway. They seem to have a tad bit more bottom end to them sound-wise.

I wish they had done the matching headstock too, and maybe made the neck a touch thinner... other than that, I think they look / sound / play fantastic. Congrats on a very nice new guitar!
