had some very limited use and yeah they do the trick pretty well. bang your distortions in the loop and keep it on reduction mode and you shouldnt have any problems

I had one ages ago, it did the trick pretty well but then I got an MXR Smart Gate and found it to be better - the Boss seemed to suck tone and the MXR didn't. These days I don't use any kind of noise gate, I don't really need to - what do you planning to use it for?
i used to have one, as previously mentioned it's a complete tone sucker. i'd rather have a bit of hum now and again and a better overall sound, so i got rid.
I have had one for years. Originally got it cause the lights in our practice space were causing my single coils to hum. I think if used properly you eliminate hum and maintain your tone. I think the people who experience tone suckage with the NS-2 are not utillizing the effect loop in the pedal and are just sticking the NS-2 at the end of the pedal chain instead of the front where I think it belongs. Best to use with amps effects loop.

Thanks much for this info.
I just picked one of these up last week for 15 bucks.
The guy I got it off of said it did not work but it actually does work fine, really beat up and dirty tho.
It works nice with my noisier pedals but I want to try out the loop and tips in your link.

UPDATE i bought the pedal a few hours ago for $50 and it works perfectly and isnt sucking any of my tone noticably yet. Im actually quite impressed with it.
